This is the DPX Systems Module with a standard off the shelf Cordless Drill. The majority of our testing has been done with the Dewalt XRP, but with minor changes, many brands of drills could be used.

Here is a list of Dewalt XRP style drills that will work perfectly:

14.4 VOLT LINE:
DC930KA, DC935KA, DC984KA

18 VOLT LINE:
DC927KL, DC920KA, DC925KA, DC988KA

28 VOLT LINE:
DC910KL
We have found that the 18 Volt drills are the most practical. They are much less expensive, and more readily available. We feel that the performance is good for the bike in that the 18 volt turns 250 more RPM than the 36 Volt. The only real advantage for the 36 Volt is the battery life, but with the 18, it is a matter of clicking in another battery.

36 VOLT LINE:
DC900KL (RECOMMENDED), DC901KL
Other Brands
Changing to another type of drill may require a different billet “holster” to hold a different drill configuration.
We have not experienced any overheating problems or premature wear in the drills we have used.
